Automotive Industry in Transition: Retrofit as the Savior of Electrification?

The smarter E Podcast Episode 194 | October 10, 2024 | Language: German

The number of e-vehicles on the roads continues to rise. More and more different models are entering the market. One in seven new registrations in the EU in 2023 was an electric car. Development seems to be progressing positively - especially in China. Just a few days ago, over 50 percent of new registrations in China in August were reported in the media as electric cars.

But what is actually happening to the vehicle population and the large number of combustion engines? Is retrofitting vehicles a serious alternative? Christoph Stürmer, independent consultant and investor in the automotive and electromobility sector, tells us.

  • 22:03 Are there any particularly noteworthy examples of best practice?
