Despite impressive growth rates in photovoltaics, we are still at the beginning of the transformation of our energy system towards CO2 neutrality. We will need a lot more space to accommodate PV modules. Façade surfaces, both in existing and new buildings, offer potential that is far from exhausted. The big advantage is that no additional surfaces are sealed, but existing surfaces are used multiple times - in addition to weather protection, also for energy generation. Façade surfaces bring PV into cities, but must therefore be planned with particular care and in a visually appealing way, as the technology becomes visible. The webinar introduces the basics, provides instructions for implementation, looks at current trends and shows realized façade PV projects.

Fabian Flade is the Manager of Solarenergieförderverein Bayern e. V. and organizes the renowned "Architekturpreis Gebäudeintegrierte Solartechnik"( The Artichitecture Award for Building-Integrated Solar Technology), which is currently being awarded for the 10th time and honors outstanding implementations from all over the world in the interface of solar energy use and architecture. He is a member of the board of the Allianz Bauwerkintegrierte Photovoltaik e. V. (Organization for Building-integrated Photovoltaik) and a spokesperson for the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Bayerischer Solar-Initiativen (ABSI) (Working Group Baverian Solar Initatives).
Thorsten Kühn
Thorsten Kühn is an architect at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin's Advisory Center for Building Integrated PV (BAIP) and an energy expert with a focus on building construction. He has implemented various sustainable construction projects in Germany and Switzerland since 2007. He provides consultating and further training at the BAIP advice center.
Dieter Moor
Dieter Moor is a specialist in BIPV solutions and combines expertise in the areas of façades, glass, electrics and photovoltaics. He has been working in the field of renewable energies since 2000 and in the field of BIPV since 2005. He advises on project implementation and is a lecturer and sought-after lecturer.
Augustin Rohr
Augustin Rohr is Director of Sales & Marketing at AVANCIS GmbH and has supervised the implementation of numerous BIPV projects.
